Finding a Familiar Face in the Airport

In a post way back on January 8, the day before You Call the Shots officially launched, I wrote, “I’ll be on planes Wednesday and will be trolling the airport bookshops . . .” It finally happened: this week the book showed up in an airport bookstore.

A few days ago Cameron was passing through the Raleigh, North Carolina airport and stopped in at the Borders store–and sure enough, there were seven copies of You Call the Shots. The storekeeper immediately recognized him–she said the book was “selling really well,” adding that she had taken a copy home with her, read it cover to cover and thought it was great. She asked him to sign all seven copies, and invited him back for a book signing.

Hmm … book signings at airport bookstores–what a terrific idea!

So Cameron’s now working on a book-signing tour, probably to take place in May (graduation season); will post details as they are worked out.
